Sheffield Museums Trust operates Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, Graves Gallery, Kelham Island Museum, Millennium Gallery, Shepherd Wheel and Weston Park Museum. We look after well over a million objects for the people of Sheffield. From the most powerful working steam engine in Europe to the tiniest pair of scissors, taxidermy animals to drawings of birds, art works and sculpture, we have it all and more.
This summer we are bringing the objects and creativity out to your community for fun-packed, inspiration-full bound-to-get-your-group-talking sessions.
From our popular Pop-Up Museum session to experimental art making taking inspiration from local artist John Hoyland, or how about finding out what Sheffield people have invented– from stainless steel to shorthand; from artificial bones to bobsleds! There is something for everyone and we look forward to seeing you.
If you want to follow up your session with a visit to one of our sites then they are all free and very welcoming. There are family activities on various days throughout the summer holidays – again all free!
